Knight Nation In Action!

Our Varsity Soccer, Varsity Volleyball, and U14 Rugby teams have been very busy the last two weeks!

Our Varsity Soccer team is off to a 0-2-1 start.  In their first game against CIS Lakeside the Knights lost 2-4 in a very competitive game!  The knights were led in scoring by their two 8th grade sensations, Jung Min Park and Bailey de Villiers, each scoring a goal!  Senior Bin Sou had a sensational night in the net with 16 saves!

In their second game of the season, the Knights took on Nexus International.  This was a tight game throughout, with the teams finishing in a 0-0 tie.  Bin Sou again came up big for the knights recording 11 saves for the game.

The third game of the Varsity soccer season was a rematch against CIS Lakeside.  CIS LS was on fire and got the best of the Knights in a 9-0 game.  Next up the Knights will face Nexus in a rematch on Wednesday, October 2nd.  The game starts at 4:30, come out and cheer on your Knights!

Our Varsity Girls Volleyball rebounded nicely from losing their first two matches of the season, by winning their last two matches this past week!  The lady Knights took on OFS and quickly found themselves down 2 sets to zero (19-25, 14-25).  The ladies then came back and did the unexpected by taking the next three sets 25-18, 25-21, and 15-13!

In their next match against Tanglin the lady Knights kept it rolling by winning 3 sets to zero to improve their ACSIS league record to 2-2!  Next up the lady Knights will head to Manila, Philippines to participate in the Dan Landry volleyball tournament!

The U14 Rugby began their season of ACSIS league play against OFS!  This was the first rugby game for many of our players and they did a great job in spite of losing 24-19.

In their second game of the season the boys proved that they are catching on fast with a convincing 54-0 win over the Anglo Chinese International School!  The boys will next be in action this coming Saturday, September 28th against Marlborough College in JB Malaysia!

Varsity Lady Knights Start Season Off Strong

Both the Varsity Girls volleyball and basketball teams started off their season's this past week!  Three of our female athletes:  Taylor Matthews, Tanya del Rosario, and Taran Estad play both volleyball and basketball!

The basketball team started off their season with a friendly game against OFS.  The lady knights have been learning a new offensive system at their practices, and they executed it beautifully in their game winning 36-21!  Taylor Matthews led all scorers with 14 points.  Many of our proud parents commented after the game that they were very impressed with how well the ladies passed the basketball!  The lady knights next basketball game will be Thursday, September 26th versus Waseda Secondary School with a 5:30 tip off!

2013-2014 Varsity Ladies Basketball Team

The Volleyball team travelled to United World College East this past Friday to open up their 2013 season!  This team features 3 seniors, 3 juniors, 3 sophomores, and two freshman!  The ladies are coached by Ms. Sarah Crossfield.

UWC East started the match off very strong and took the first set 25-14.  The lady knights came back with a strong opening rally in the second set and held on to win it 25-23.  UWC East was two strong in the third and Fourth sets winning, 25-12, and 25-13 to win the match 3 sets to 1.

The lady knights played with a great attitude the entire time, and we are looking forward to seeing them in action again this Thursday at Nexus International School.  The match will start at 4:30, and we would love to see you there!

"Hard Work" Pays Off In Season Opener

The 2013 Varsity Boys Basketball season got off to a great start with an impressive 48-34 victory over Overseas Family School B!  Senior Gabe Brunk got the Knights going early with making 2 three point shots in the first quarter!  Will Baud lead all scorers with 14 points, and junior reserve Ruslan Nikitin scored 12 points coming off the bench!

The boys will next be in action on Thursday, September 19th when they host Canadian International School - Lake Side!

It's Game Time!

Our student athletes have been practicing hard for the last few weeks, and many of our teams will be looking to prove that hard work pays off this week!

Our Varsity Boys Basketball team will be kicking off their CBL season on Tuesday, September 3rd.  They will be taking on OFS B at home in the ICS gym!  The game will tip off at 5:30pm.  Our seniors will be selling grilled brats before the game, so be sure to stop by and support them before heading up to the gym!

Our Varsity Girls Basketball will start their season with a friendly game at OFS on Thursday, September 5th!  The game will tip off at the Overseas Family School at 4:45pm.  The ladies have been working hard learning a new offense and they are excited to test it out this week!

Our Varsity Girls Volleyball team also begins their season this week!  They will be travelling to the United World College East Campus this Friday, September 6th.  They will be playing a best of 5 match with a 4:45pm start time.  If you are looking for something fun to do Friday after school, come on over to UWC East and cheer on your lady knights!
